Congrout is a ready to use grout injection aid in powder form. A multi component non chloride containing admixture which allows for the reduction in water cement ratio with corresponding strength increases. Expansion ensures good interfacial contact is maintained.
Use for the grouting of prestressed cable ducts, bearing plates, tunnel linings, rock & soil anchoring etc.

Expansion: According to ASTM C-827 an unrestrained expansion of 1 - 4% is typical depending on temperatures, dosage & mix.
Strength: Restrained grouts up to 15% increase due to lower water cement ratio.
Complies with CP110 Part 1 : 1972 Section 6.12.

METHOD OF USE / APPLICATION
Mixing times and w/c vary according to the application. With standard mechanical mixing for prestressed concrete work, a mixing time of 4 minutes with a w/c of 0.35 - 0.40 gives the best results. The best mixing sequence is normally water/Congrout A/cement.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Congrout A is generally used in the highly specialised work of grouting and prestressing. Properties of Congrout A may be influenced by mixing procedure, cement properties, adding of water and temperatures. Therefore tests on site should be undertaken. Congrout A should not be used with cement containingfly ash.

DOSAGES
Dose at 1.0 - 2.0% by weight of cement.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Wear gloves when mixing. Splashes on skin or eyes should be washed off with clean water. Congrout A is non flammable.
