Formceal 3000X is a self adhesive bituminous membrane obtained by the hot lamination of a modified bitumen compound with a cross laminated high density polyethylene film (HOPE). The result is a waterproofing product that offers superior performance as demanded by today's advanced building technology.

Formceal 3000X offers a unique combination of mechanical and physical characteristics, such as shape stability and high strength, as well as a limited although uniform, thermal deformation. Formceal 3000X has a low resistance to ultra violet light. It must therefore be protected from direct sunlight.

Formceal 3000X is made from two structural components:

Bitumen Compound: Obtained from selected bitumen modified with SBS and high tack resins.This special compound has been formulated, improved and adapted to attain controlled adhesion, allowing easy installation, without immediately sticking fast to the substrate. The membrane achieves final adhesion only after a few minutes and this allows Formceal 3000X to be repositioned if necessary.

Hope Protective Film: A hot laminatation to the bitumen component. The film gives

Formceal 3000X its mechanical and physical characteristics, such as heat stability, shape stability and chemical resistance. The self-adhesive surface of the membrane is protected by a silicone coated release paper that is strong and wil not tear easily.

PACKING & STORAGE

Formceal 3000X waterproofing membranes are available in 1 m x 20m x 1.Smm rolls. The rolls are supplied in cardboard cartons on wooden pallets. Shelf life in original packaging and when stored vertically and at temperature between + 5ºC/+40ºC is two years.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Formceal 3000X contains a tacky bitumen compound which can stick to human skin during application. Such stains can be removed by using a cloth dipped in a suitable cleaner.
