Formrok 28U is a low modulus, one component Polyurethane Sealant for filling and sealing joints in building construction. lt is elastic, weather resistant, non sagging, and water tight with excellent adhesion to practically all surfaces. There is no need for a primer.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease or residues. On concrete, wait for it to cure out and stabilize (minimum 28 days). A preliminary test is necessary on siliconized tiles. It is up to the users to check the compatibility with the surface in terms of adherence, chemical compatibility and staining (make a pr-test if required). For the joint sealant to function correctly it is essential that bond breaker tape or polyethylene closed cell backer rod be used to regulate joint depth and prevent three sided alhesion.

APPLICATION

The product is supplied ready for application. Cut open the foil sausage (or the nozzle) at one end and place in a manual or pneumatic gun and apply immediately. The product should be tooled smooth with a spatula or with non-alcoholic liquid to create a concave surface free of bubbles. lt can be applied directly both horizontally and vertically

JOINT DESIGN

The width of the joint must be included between 6 and 40 mm. For the width of joint lower or equal to 10 mm, the depth of the joint must he equal to its widht. For the widths of joints more than 10 mm  the  depth  of  the  joint  must  be  approximately  half  of  its  width.

COLOUR

Grey, White other colours available on request (minimum batch quantities).

SHELF LIFE

12 months from production date, in original unopened packaging and protected from humidity.

Applicable joint length with a 310 ml cartridge (in metres)

Formrok 28U contains cement. Irritating to respiratory system and skin. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.
