Formrok 300 is a proprietary waterbased, single component, modifiedpolyurethane liquid applied waterproofing membrane. It is specially formulated as a ready to use, fast drying protective membrane for all concrete surfaces. It does not contain bitumen or coaltar. Formrok 300 cures quickly into a seamless, highly flexible, durable and water resistant membrane. It is odorless, non-flammable and safe for use in confined spaces with limited ventilation.

The high elasticity, excellent bond and low water permeability of Formrok 300 makes it ideal for a wide range of waterproofing applications such as foundations, basements, tunnels, ground floors, inspection pits, roofs, wet areas etc.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces to be waterproofed should be sound, clean and dry. Concrete surfaces should have a light steel-trowel followed by a fine hair broom or equivalent finish. All high spots should be removed.

PRIMING

Priming is normally not required on good quality concrete substrates.

CRACKS & CORNERS

All shrinkage and non-moving structural cracks should be pretreated with 2 coats of Formrok 300 reinforced with a strip of fiberglass extending 25 mm either side of the crack. All right angles should have a cant strip or be pretreated with a heavy application of Formrok 300 reinforced with a strip of fiberglass mat.

APPLICATION RATE

Basement wall & slab: Apply by roller or brush 2 coats of Formrok 300 at coverage of 0.8 litres/sqm.

Wet Areas: Apply by roller or brush 2 coats of Formrok 300 at coverage of 0.8 litres/sqm.

Roofs: Apply by roller or brush 3 coats of Formrok 300 at coverage of 0.8 litres/ sqm.

Allow 6 hours drying time between coats. Water ponding test for roofs & wet areas can be carried out 24 hours after application of final coat.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

As this product is waterbased it is non flammable and of low toxicity. Spills can be removed with water or by using sand to absorb the material. Dry material can be removed from the skin by using warm water and soap. Provide adequate ventilation in confined areas when applying this product.
