Lemax AC is an excellent energy conserving elastic membrane designed for roof and walls coating and substrates requiring weather & waterproofing protection. Lemax AC is Lemax product that are eco-friendly which is safe for both the applicator and the environment and can be used for the exterior and interior for all the residential and commercial buildings.

FORMULATION DIFFERENCE
Its membrane of water-based styrene acrylic co polymer resin system is filled with minute heat shield cells which act as a thermal resistant blanket covering the whole treated structure. Lemax AC is an IR reflective coating and it keeps building cooler. When applied, the Ultraviolet and heat rays are reflected and emitted from the surface, reducing the thermal conductivity between the substrate and the coating.

ENERGY SAVING AND THE ENVIROMENT
When buildings in hot climate heat up, the interior also gets hotter. This is being done by transmitting the heat into the interior of the building and also by re-radiating or emitting the heat back into the atmosphere. The use of air-conditioner and ventilation takes a lot of energy to cool down.
But with Lemax AC it can give effects of reflectivity and emissivity to reduce the heat. Hence, roof and walls surfaces treated with Lemax AC can experience good interior temperature reduction.
Metals for instance have high reflectivities but low emissivities. Therefore the heat is retained longer but slowly releases the heat. By applying Lemax AC
it reduces the heat for the metal roofs up to 12˚C - 14˚C (When temperature is taken directly from the soffit of the metal).  While concrete is from medium to high emissivities, therefore applying Lemax AC will raised the emissivities higher. So the direct heat reduction is up to 6˚C - 8˚C depending on the thickness of the concrete.
The surfaces applied with Lemax AC will feel cooler than other normal surfaces applied with ordinary coating paints. Cool roofs can also helps to reduce urban temperature and as well as global warming.

Lemax AC is mostly used as wall and roof coatings. However, it may also be applied as:
- Coatings for roofs, terraces and balconies.
- Waterproofing membrane on top of outdoor tiling.
-  Protective heat reflection coating and waterproofing for metal roofs.
-  Protection and waterproofing for old asbestos roofing sheets.
- Protection and waterproofing for new AC roofing sheet.

- Heat insulation thus energy saving i.e. reduces use of air conditioning and as a result reduces urban temperature.

- Good adhesion to variable substrates.

SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean and free from laitance, dust, dirt, oil and grease. Surfaces should be power washed prior to coating without damaging the roof or cause leaks. Clean the area of all dust with a tack rag and apply primer to the unpainted surfaces. Let the primer dry thoroughly before applying the colour coat. For painted surfaces it is required to remove all flakes paints and apply one coat of Lemax primer.

APPLYING LEMAX AC
Lemax AC can be applied by roller, brush or airless spray. Lemax AC should be applied on touch dry between coats.

FOR ROLLER
- Use a roller to larger areas.
- Use the largest one that fits in the area to be covered.

FOR BRUSH
-  Use on small or narrow areas.
- Cross brush 3 coats or as instruction for adequate protection.

FOR AIRLESS SPRAY
- Tip orifice: 0.031”
- Atomizing pressure: 2200 - 2500psi
- Fan Spread: 60º
- Pump: 3 litres per minute at 2500psi (prime pump with water before using Lemax AC)
- Filter: remove filters and screens

Lemax AC is non-toxic, but it is recommended that the applicator wears safety goggles and gloves. Keep away from mouth and eyes. In case of skin contact, wash areas with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Seek medical attention immediately if irritation persists.
