Sikaproof® Membrane RD is a component, water based, bitumen polymer modified waterproofing, cold applied liquid membrane.

PRODUCT DATA

APPLICATION

- Surface preparation: Substrate must be clean, sound and free from standing water and any surface contamination i.e. oil, grease, curing compounds and surface laitance.

- Priming: Add 20-50% water to Sikaproof® Membrane and RD mix thoroughly. Prime the surface by brush or spray. Allow to completely dry prior to the application of further coatings. In case of porous, absorbent substrates pre-wet the surface with water. Avoid standing water.

- Application: Apply Sikaproof® Membrane RD to the clean and primed surface by brush or spray. When spraying exterior below grade walls, ensure a uniform thickness to obtain a pinhole-free surface.  For water tightness apply 2-3 coats.  Allow the coat to dry between application.

- Cleaning: Clean tools and hands with cold water when wet and use kerosene or solvents when dry

Notes on application / Limits: As Sikaproo® Membrane RD is not long term UV resistant therefore exposed surface (e.g. flat roof) must be protected (e.g. over coated with reflective paint or protective mortar screed). Not to be used as a traffic bearing surface. Do not thin with solvent. Once the container is opened, use the entire contents

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Wear protective clothing e.g. gloves, goggles. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of any contact wash with plenty of water immediately.
